After half I year I was informed that the editor was unable to find reviewers for the paper. As the editor credibly assured to have asked multiple researches, I assume that the reviewer capacities of the journal are quite limited.

It took no less than 2 emails to the editor to receive any status update in the submission. Finally, I was informed that the paper was in the system as "rejected" (apparently for a while) because a similar working paper has previously been published on the Internet.
