After three months of waiting, they only had one reviewer who provided comments which made it clear that he/she had not read the paper at all. For example, we provided a full table of means and SDs for all dependent variables and the reviewer complained that means and SDs should be provided. The reviewer was obviously knowledgeable about his/her own field but was not willing to remain open-minded to accept interpretations that might be different from his/hers. Most of the comments were blatant indications that the reviewer had not bothered to read through the manuscript and simply gave it a quick glance. The editor had absolutely nothing helpful to say and merely copy/pasted reviewer comments.
